The plans for the foundation, which are an extension of past activities, are as follows:
To send students (both undergraduates and students in higher education) to a country of their choice.As of now the choices include China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.At the moment this program is for American students only, but in the future Chinese students will be sponsored to come to the Untied States as well.The foundation will help them organize the trip, including host family selection, placement in an appropriate language program, and securing of local business sponsors.In the future the program may offer internship opportunities as well.To serve the individual needs of students, the foundation may offer half-year and summer programs.
To expand the program to other countries beyond Eastern Asia to give American students further opportunity to learn about other cultures and languages, with the idea that such an experience will be beneficial in the long run.
To expand fundraising activities.Currently, the funding of the program activities is done through volunteer work contributed by the foundation members and associates.Fundraising expansion may include raising money through the website, as well as volunteer work and donations from people who have benefited from the program.
